This trend came from Willie Lynch to identify who was the house negro and a field negro, this was used to dehumanized our ancestors. The white owners will kidnap, sale, and forced enslavement on our ancestors and the ones that will stay in the barn with the animals will get gold or sliver caps in front of their mouth, so they will know who was the field negro. The house negro will never have any gold or sliver caps in their mouths.
